He graduates from Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaj Sayajirao University of Baroda and well known for his charimastic and rustic scenes of village and tribal life. The ornamentation of his visuals is highly represents the Andhra leather puppetry and terracotta works. He exhibit in india as well as in abroad.

He is currently working as a lecturer in History of Art at Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan, West Bengal. Santhosh Sakhinala is an art historian based on Hyderabad and Kolkata. he has published his articles in prominent art magazines, including Marg: A Magazine of the Arts and Nandan: A Journal of Art and Aesthetics. He also curated the show Confluence at Hyderbad.
