The Residency is conceived and established to provide support, space and facilities to the travelling artists with instinctive compulsions to work while on the move. For artists making the Indian/Oriental Passage, the Residency is an ideal stopover to explore and imbibe the rich cultural

Founder:

The objective of the founders - artist Chippa Sudhakar and Balaji Kiran is to nurture a space that would work like a junction where work, reflections and cultural interactions of the residents become inspirations to be translated into works of art.

Sudhakar Chippa

Founder-director, of BH is a practising artist. A trained print maker, Chippa has applied the medium to create mixed media work. A post graduate from the Baroda College of Fine Arts, Gujarat, India, he is working and exhibiting in India and abroad. Having attended innumerable art camps and residencies, nationally and internationally, the genesis of Banyan HeArt Artists’ Residency can be traced in the travels he accomplished.

Balaji Kiran

A corporate professional, supports and promotes art. While with the Sanghi Group of Industries he organised art camps between 1990 and 1992. His enthusiasm for art has now put him on the international circuit. He will soon be organising art event in the United State of America.
